Her primary aim is to cultivate a secure, nurturing, and non-judgmental therapeutic space for her clients. Annette begins by understanding her client’s main concerns and goals. Her toolkit encompasses a range of well-established, evidence-based therapies, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), inclusive of mindfulness-based interventions, and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). Treatment plans are client driven and focus on individualized strategies, targeted interventions, skill-building exercises, and the provision of further information relating to the condition being treated (psycho-education).
Annette holds a special interest in supporting clients experiencing anxiety disorders, a condition affecting one in four Australians at some point in their lives. She derives immense satisfaction from partnering with clients to navigate this treatable condition. In addition to her clinical work, Annette has corporate experience, using personality assessments, emotional intelligence evaluations, and skills-based tools to enhance team understanding. She is proficient in administering and interpreting cognitive, academic, and social/emotional assessments.
