I am a dedicated and highly motivated General Psychologist with a passion for making a positive impact on people’s mental health. Growing up in a collectivist cultural background instilled in me strong values of respect, openness and empathy, which have guided me throughout my personal and professional life. I employ a person-centered therapeutic approach to help people find their strengths and work through their thoughts, feelings and experiences in a warm, genuine and non-judgmental environment. By focusing on their strengths and validating their experiences, I empower my clients to overcome obstacles and achieve their goals.
Throughout my practice, I have been privileged to work with neurodiverse persons such as those with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Intellectual Disability, and Cerebral Palsy. I have worked with people across the lifespan, addressing a wide range of concerns including mood and anxiety disorders, trauma, grief, chronic illness, stress management, relationship issues, emotional regulation difficulties and self-esteem issues. I have conducted cognitive assessments, mental health assessments and functional assessments. I have worked with people in various settings including in the community, prison, childcare and school. Drawing from evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness techniques, I tailor my approach to meet the unique needs of each person.
I can also speak in the Egyptian Arabic dialect only.
