Rachael Gazzola is a Generally Registered Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and obtained her Bachelor of Psychology with Honours and Master of Professional Psychology at Deakin University in Victoria. Rachael has been practising psychology for the last 4 years and prior to this worked for several years as a mental health clinician and child protection practitioner. During her time as a psychologist, she has worked in various settings, including inpatient and outpatient health facilities, schools and within the community. Rachael has completed extensive training in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Family Based Therapy for Anorexia Nervosa (FBT-AN) and also incorporates aspects of Motivational Interviewing (MI) and Graded Exposure Therapy to help clients make progress and achieve their outcomes.
Rachael has primarily worked with children, teenagers, young adults and families to address a range of mental health concerns including mood, anxiety, eating-related and obsessive-compulsive disorders, trauma and difficulties with relationships, communication and emotional regulation.
Rachael is passionate about empowering clients to reach their fullest potential and build better lives for themselves. Her approach is warm, person-centred, non-judgmental and structured to ensure you feel supported and confident in reaching your goals.
