Ms Syeda is a registered Psychologist with an advanced degree in Clinical Psychology. She has a breadth of experience working in clinical, educational, residential and community mental health settings.
She works across the lifespan and has experience supporting clients through difficult life transitions and mental health struggles. Syeda incorporates aspects of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Interpersonal Therapy (IP), Schema and Narrative Therapy. She embraces the biopsychosocial model and tailors therapy to the unique needs of her clients. Syeda is passionate about creating a ‘safe space’ in therapy where clients feel heard, understood, and validated.
Syeda has also published her clinical research on the efficacy of Reminiscence Therapy for the elderly struggling with depressive symptoms. She is committed to providing clients with high-quality psychotherapy and regularly undertakes professional development to broaden her skill set. Currently, she is advancing her skills in trauma-specific interventions.
Syeda is fluent in English as well as Urdu, Hindi, and Punjabi.
